ELECTRON COLLISION FREQUENCY DETERMINATION IN H2

Abstract

Various diagnostical methods for a uniform plasma are treated analytically for the case of one dimensional and rectangular geometry. Of special significance are the graphical solutions for the case of a cosine electron density contour, which lead to normalized curves of wide applicability. The electron collision frequency in hydrogen was found as a result of this analysis, the value is nu = 1/2.3 times 10 the 9th power sec at rho = 2 mm Hg. (Author)
