DYNAMIC STABILITY ANALYSIS OF A VTOL VECTORED SLIPSTREAM VEHICLE DURING TRANSITION

Abstract

IN VARIOUS BASIC AIRCRAFT PHYSICAL AND AERODYNAMIC PARAMETERS ARE AIGITAL COMPUTERS, Velocity. T E SIX EQUATIONS OF MOTION APPROPRIATE FOR THE VECTORED SLIPSTREAM AIRCRAFT DURING TRANSITION ARE DEVELOPED AND EXAMINED NUMERICALLY ON THE LGP-30 digital computer. The characteristic roots of these equations are calculated and presented as a function of forward velocity during typical transition maneuvers. The variations of these stability roots with respect to changes in various basic aircraft physical and aerodynamic parameters are also given. (Author)
