AN/URC-9X CONTROL UNITS

Abstract

Efforts are being made to design and develop a 19-channel control unit for operating the AN/URC-9X, the AM-1565/URC, and a 19-channel antenna coupler by means of a modified CQC-23445, or CQC-23496 Remote Channel Selector Unit. Transmit-receive control, receiver audio, sidetone audio, and transmit audio will be channeled through the control unit to Radio Set AN/URC-9X and the shipboard control units, or vice versa. All system power will be controlled by means of an emergency power switch and associated power control relay. Power for Radio Set AN/URC-9X and RF Amplifier AM-1565/URC will be controlled by a front panel momentary contact, power control switch, and associated power control relay, or by the remote start-stop switches. The power and power control circuitry used in the 10channel C-2384/SRC will be the same for the 19channel version. (Author)
