POSITION-LOCATION NETWORK STUDY

Abstract

Effort was devoted to the completion and demonstration of the equipments to automatically encode tuning instructions from a master R-390/ URR HF radio receiver into teletype signals, and to automatically decode the teletype signals and servo-tune one or more slave R-390/URR HF radio receivers of a direction-finding network. The investigation of semi-automatic bearing read-out, and the preliminary processing of field data were continued. Tentative solutions to these two problems were formulated.
