A PROTOTYPE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR CONTROL OF STORAGE BATTERY POWER

Abstract

A 100 kw prototype electronic system for controlling storage battery power was developed which employs ignitron control tubes, a special pulse transformer, and a unique phase shifter. Photographs are presented of waveforms appearing in various portions of the control system. The system waveforms are compared with the waveforms of a back-to-back ac ignitron control system.
