Abstract

Treatment of pentaborane with deuterium chloride results in the rapid exchange of hydrogen and deuterium in the 1-position. 1-Deuteropentaborane was identified by the B-11 and H-1 nmr spectra and confirmed by the stoichiometry of the exchanging species at equilibrium. (Author)
