DETERMINATION OF MAGNETOELASTIC COUPLING BY SPIN WAVE RESONANCE

Abstract

An electromagnetic theory of spin wave resonance in the presence of magnon-phonon coupling is given. Expressions for the propagation constants and power absorption in a thin film as functions of dc magnetic field are obtained. The results are shown to establish the feasibility of using the above method to determine the magnetoelastic coupling coefficient at mocrowave frequencies. (Author)
