SCINTILLATIONS OF SIGNALS TRANSMITTED FROM EARTH SATELLITES

Abstract

Results are presented from a study that was undertaken at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment in connection with ionospheric effects on signals transmitted from earth satellites. Emphasis was given to the use of satellite signals in studies of the irregularities producing scintillations of the signal. Results of structure and height distribution of the irregularities are presented. (Author)
