THE SELECTION OF AN OPTIMUM SAMPLING PARTITION

Abstract

The statistical problem concerned with the selection of an optimum sampling partition to use with a specified statistical test is analyzed. The statistical test used is a Wald sequential probability ratio test. An asymptotic property of this test suggests a measure for the quality of a sampling partition upon which a definition of an optimum one is based. (Author)
