DESIGN OF A MICROMINIATURE PRESSURE TRANSDUCER

Abstract

The problem of designing an accurate microminiature pressure transducer suitable for bonding to a vehicle surface exposed to a moving airstream was reviewed in detail. A detailed discussion of newly evolved pressure-measuring techniques and adaptations considered feasible for this application is given. A design study of the diode principle for a miniature pressure transducer is presented. Details of the development of variable resistance pressure transducers along with calibration data are included.
