HF, VHF, AND UHF POWER AMPLIFIERS AND OSCILLATORS

Abstract

INVESTIGATIONS WERE MADE OF VARIATIONS IN LARGE SIGNAL PARAMETERS FOR COMMON EMITTER, VHF transistor amplifiers. New large signal effective parameters are defined and related to the standard small signal parameters. Some of the relations, based upon early findings are shown. Also included is the derivation of an equivalent circuit for common emitter, VHF transistor operation that may be programmed into a computer for a numerical solution in terms of transistor and circuit parameters. Comparisons are made with actual laboratory circuit response. (Author)
