BELOW-ELBOW COSMETIC CONDYLE-SUSPENDED PROSTHESIS

Abstract

The condyle-suspended prosthesis was developed to eliminate the extensive and sometimes uncomfortable operating and suspension harnesses. It is of particular appeal to those amputees who desire a prosthesis for cosmetic reasons. However this type of prosthesis can be so built to provide a means for operating the active mechanical terminal device. (Author)
