INDUSTRIAL PREPAREDNESS MEASURE 0.00017' METALLIZED CONDENSER PAPER
Abstract
Kraft 0.00017 inch condenser tissue was successfully processed from 2 kinds of pulp through to metallized capacitors and appraised by capacitor qualification tests designed for a thicker dielectric as well as to the relative merits of the 2 pulps. Qualification testing showed a production yield of 60% and a life test failure rate of 10%. Pulp comparison did not detect any significant difference between Canadian and Swedish pulps. (Author)
