WAVE INCIDENCE ON A SELECTIVE REFLECTING SURFACE

Abstract

Normal incidence is considered of a plane wave on a selective reflecting surface which is in the form of a system of separate resonating elements, dipoles. The secondary field of the selective surface, the current excited in the dipoles by the incident field and the reflection and transmission coefficients are determined. Graphs are given which permit the computation of the reflection and transmission coefficients of a selective reflecting surface in a wide wave band. Experimental results are presented for the transmission coefficients. (Author)
