NOTE ON INPUT SUSCEPTANCE OF A DISK LOADED WAVEGUIDE
Abstract
The input susceptance of a disk loaded waveguide is re-evaluated. Despite considerable care which was taken in checking the theoretical results experimentally, some discrepancies were noted. In the meantime some of the calculations have been rechecked but no error was discovered. However, it turned out that the polyfoam supportAND THE SLIDING SHORT OF THE MEASURING APPARATUS GAVE RISE TO AN EXPERIMENTAL ERROR, WHICH AT LEAST FOR THE SMALLER DISKS ACCOUNTED FULLY FOR THE DISCREPANCIES MENTIONED EARLIER. All the measurements were therefore repeated. A summary of the procedure is given. (Author)
