MOLYBDENUM STRUCTURAL COMPONENT PROGRAM

Abstract

Studies were begun to evaluate the Mo sheet from the Navy sheet rolling program by (1) evaluating the quality of the received sheets; (2) evaluating its fabrication characteristics; (3) designing, fabricating, and testing structural elements from this material; and (4) designing, fabricating, and testing a component of a typical aerospace vehicle. Approximately 950 lb of Mo sheet will be required for this program. (Author)
