HEAT TRANSFER AT THE REATTACHMENT ZONE OF SEPARATED LAMINAR BOUNDARY LAYERS

Abstract

The flow and heat transfer are analyzed at the reattachment zone of two-dimensional separated laminar boundary layers. The fluid is considered to be flo ing normal to the wall at reattachment.An approximate expression is derived for the heat transfer in the reattachment region and a calculated value is compared with an experimental measurement.
