INVESTIGATION AND STUDY OF PROPAGATION IN AND PROPERTIES OF NON-UNIFORM PLASMAS

Abstract

Results are presented for the effects on EM wave dispersion due to longitudinal and tranverse plasma distributions. Generally, the effects on plane wave propagation are a decreased dispersion due to longitudinal plasma distributions and an increased dispersion due to transverse plasma distributions. Some results are presented for a simple phenomenological model o plasma conductivity. (Author)
