Abstract

Experimental investigations of certain aspects of thermal arc-jet propulsion are discussed for convenience of presentation, the work is discussed under the following headings: (1) The D. C. Power Supply; (2) The First Experimental Arc Chamber; (3) The Experimental Apparatus for the Present Research Program; (4) PreliminaryAnalytical Investigation; (5) Literature Survey; and (6) Memorandum on Propulsion Requirements for Space Flight.
