Abstract

This report examines the effect of major disasters on the behavior of people with a view to generating hypotheses, assumptions, and variables to be used in the formulation of a system for predicting the recovery of a social system from a nuclear attack. The ultimate aim of the research program is a predictive system or model which has applicability to any large modern industrialized society. (Author)
