ECONOMIC ORDER QUANTITIES IN CASES OF PRICE BREAKS, ORDER COST BREAKS, OR LEADTIME BREAKS
Abstract
This memorandum describes practical, iterative procedures for determining economic order quantities when price, order cost, or leadtime breaks exist. The first section discusses the price break problem, describes the recommended computing procedure, and illustrates the use of the procedure by means of practical examples. The second section describes a procedure for handling breaks in order cost and leadtime, together with examples of the computations. (Author)
