A COMPACT TUNABLE TUNNEL DIODE S-BAND RECEIVER
Abstract
A description is given of a tunable low-noise (7 db max.) S-band receiver consisting of antenna horn, stabilizing network, tunnel diode amplifier and tunnel diode down-converter. Design problems are discussed. Performance characteristics are given to illustrate the many advantages of tunnel diode circuits for S-band receivers. (Author)
