STUDY PROPOSAL. GAS PHASE CHEMICAL KINETIC PHENOMENA

Abstract

A study of the ability of foreign materials to catalyze gas-phase chemical reactions that are usually third order, is a promising approach yet to be exploited for obtaining a fundamental understanding of basic chemical reaction processes, and the evaluation of lifetimes of activated complexes. This basic information is applicable to the development of advanced thermal propulsion devices, hypersonic reentry vehicles, and an understanding of exoatmospheric chemistry. (Author)
