INVESTIGATION OF THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF SECOND-STAGE MINUTEMAN CHAMBERS OF LADISH D-6AC STEEL

Abstract

Second-stage Minuteman chambers fabricated of Ladish D-6ac steel were subjected to hydrostatic tests to investigate the structural soundness of the cases. The test series was conducted in four phases. Test data obtained at pressures ranging from 0 to 600 psig indicated that chambers fabricated of this material meet specifications pertaining to structural integrity.
