EXTENDED TABLE OF PERCENTAGE POINTS OF THE CHISQUARE DISTRIBUTION
Abstract
A table of percentage points of the Chi-square distribution was computed on the IBM 704, using the Cornish-Fisher approximation. The degrees of freedom are from f equals 1 to 300 in unit steps, and 14 percentage points are covered as follows: .995, .990. .975, .950, .900, .750, .500, .250, .200, .100, .050, .025, .010, and .005. Percentage points for 30 or fewer degrees of freedom were reproduced from existing tables of exact values. For degrees of freedom from f equals 31 to 300, the Cornish-Fisher approximation was used. A table is included showing a comparison of the exact percentage points and the approximate values for f equals 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 degrees of freedom. (Author)
