ON THE GEOMETRIC CHARACTER OF SINGULARITY MANIFOLDS FOR HARMONIC FUNCTIONS IN THREE VARIABLES. I

Abstract

The singularities of harmonic functions in three variables is investigated. This is done by considering harmonic functions generated by the Whittaker-Bergman operator, and the connections between the singularities of these functions and those of the associated functions of two complex variables. Several theorems are obtained concerning the nature of these singularities by using the methods of projective differential geometry. (Author)
