CASCADED TRANSMISSION LINE SYNTHESIS

Abstract

The basis for designing lossless cascade transmission line circuits is reviewed. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the synthesis of cascaded line two-ports are derived using scattering functions. Applications of the synthesis method are given to low pass filters and broadband impedance transformers. The presentation is primarily tutorial in character. (Author)
