MATCHED FILTERS AND INTERSYMBOL INTERFERENCE

Abstract

This analysis was conducted to shape a new tool for the design of synchronous, pulse-transmission links. This is accomplished by combining the viewpoints which led to the formulation of two tools of proven worth in communication theorythe matched filter and Nyquist's methods for pulse shaping and transmission line equalization.
