OPTIMAL FILTER PASSBAND IN A SYSTEM FOR RECEIVING FM SIGNALS WITH TRACKING TUNING

Abstract

The optimal value of filter bandwidth is established for a receiver ith tracking tuning from the point of view of providing the greatest noise sta ility and the highest quality reproduction ofA USEFUL SIGNAL. The tracking tuning system consists of a narrow-band intermediate-frequency amplifier, a reactance tube connected in parallel to this IF amplifier and varying its resonant frequency, a requency detector of the usual type, and a special coupling circuit giving a selective c aracter to the control of the filter rsonant frequency.
