Abstract

The present status of electric propulsion of space vehicles is presented and is limited to projects which exist only in the United States. The descriptions involving the fundamental principles of electric propulsion constitute the first part of the paper. The second portion of the report is composed of appendices which give more detail as well as mathematical derivations.
