ON THE ORIGIN OF VERY-LOW-FREQUENCY EMISSIONS

Abstract

The magneto-ionic theory for drifting plasma is applied to the theory on the origin of very-lowfrequency emissions. The frequency at which there will be interaction, and possible amplification, between two different streams of electrons is found. It is shown that ph sical phenomena are explained by interaction between several streams of electrons of different plasma frequency and different velocity. (Author)
