CONTINUOUS METAL STEAM METHOD OF HYDROGEN PRODUCTION

Abstract

A continuous metal-steam process of H production was studied in an enlarged laboratory installation. It was shown that such a process can be set up on an industrial scale. Gases rich in CO and containing a large amount of inert constituents were used as reducing agents. The continuous metal-steam metho offers a number of advantages: compactness of the installation; high output; efficient material utilization; and low reaction temperat res (450 to 48 C). (Author)
