THE INVERSION OF A TRANSFORM RELATED TO THE LAPLACE TRANSFORM AND TO HEAT CONDUCTION

Abstract

An integral transform is studied for which the kernel is the fundamental solution of the heat equation. An inversion is made by use of the symbolic operator cosh x square root of D (where D stands for differentiation). Another inversion of distinctly different type is also developed. (Author)
