PROPELLANT PERFORMANCE CALCULATION PROGRAM

Abstract

The calculation of rocket propellant performance includes procedures involving the simultaneous solution of many nonlinear equations and inequalities. These relations may be reduced to a few standard forms amenable to digital computation. The versatility and generality demanded by an accelerated rocket propellant technology require the minimum number of restrictions on the capability of the machine computational program. Computation of composition, which depends upon the initial guess of the pressure of monatomic gases, is proving to be successful with respect to obtaining convergence. (Author)
