DEVELOPMENT OF COOLING DEVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH BUREAU OF SHIPS CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS SHIPS-B-3575 DATED 11 JAN, 1960
Abstract
A dual winding motor blower combination was successfully built (designated by IMC Part No. BC1607B-6), which operates from a single capacitor, and gives a reduction in temperatures of between 5% and 25% in the Synthesizer. A new lamination was designed, using a double bar deep slot rotor and is under test. First results indicate a very substantial improvement in air delivery and reduction in input wattage.
