DEVELOPMENT OF CONTINUITY TESTER FOR MAGNET WIRE

Abstract

Equipment for testing the insulation continuity of magnet wire is described. The equipment uses a mercury bath through which the wire to be tested is passed. Provision is made for wire speeds of 100 + or - 10 feet per minute and for distinguishing between point discontinuities and wire which is defective along its entire length.
