SOME UNIQUENESS THEOREMS FOR THE REDUCED WAVE EQUATION

Abstract

V ARIOUS EXTENSIONS OF THE Magnus-Rellich uniqueness t eorem for th reduced wave equation in infinite domains are treated. The theorem is extended to cover piecewise smooth boundary surfaces of a general kind, and mi ed boundary condi ions; no uxiliary edge conditions are required at edges or at discontinuities in the boundary conditions - continuity of the wave function in the closure of the domain is sufficient. Another exten ion treats infinite bound ries; for real value of propaga ion constant, these are restricted to surfaces which are (generalized) co sufficiently far from the origin. (Author)
