PREIMPREGNATED ROVING STUDY
Abstract
The investigation of the strand tensile strength of uncured preimpregnated roving was continued. Additional data are presented on the effects of multiple-pulley feed systems. The aging study, investigating the effect of refrigerated and deep-freeze storage condition and the effect of various process parameters on preimpregnated roving, was continued, and additional data are plotted on newly drawn graphs. Some of the experiments for studying the interaction of tension and roving resin content were repeated, and a more reliable graph of these results is presented. New interlaminar shear data were collected and are presented. (Author)
