TURBULENCE MEASUREMENTS AT HIGH ALTITUDES BY SECOND-DIFFERENCE INTERFEROMETRY

Abstract

A brief statement of contract objectives and current status are given. A simplified analysis is given leading to a simple formula which is useful for analyzing data. This formula s suitable for hand computation in the two target case, but, with a multiplicity of targets, data must be further processed before useful results are obtained. Modifications to receiving systems are described. Results of a fully instrumented two-target test are described. (Author)
