ORBITS WITH LOW TANGENTIAL THRUST

Abstract

The method of Krylov-Bogoliuboff is used to analyze orbits with an additional low tangential thrust. It is shown that, initially, circular orbits remain circular to the first approximation while elliptical orbits become less elliptic (thrust in the direction of motion). A complete set of curves relating significant orbit parameters is also presented. (Author)
