THERMAL STRESSES IN PERFORATED PLATES AND BODIES OF REVOLUTION

Abstract

Methods are derived for the determination of thermal stress in perforated plates and bodies of revolution. The perforated plate problem, being two-dimensional, is found to be amenable to the complex analysis of Muskhelishvili. The problem of thermal stresses in bodies of revolution is solved in an exact manner by restricting the problem to the aft end of the ogive-shaped body considered. (Author)
