AN INSTRUMENT FOR MAINTAINING CONSTANT ROTATION SPEED OF AN A-C GENERATOR
Abstract
The invention described is a device for maintaining the constant rotation speed of an a-c generator, driven by an air turbine, and containing a mechanical differential and an electromagnetic friction brake which operates on it. The braking force is regulated by the speed of the generator. The proposed device differs from previous ones in that one of the axes of its differential is kinematically coupled with the system for controlling the feed of air to the turbine rotor, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency.
