A METHOD OF MULTIPLE PHASE MANIPULATION AND A DEVICE FOR ITS ACCOMPLISHMENT

Abstract

A proposed method of multiple phase manipulation is presented for transmitting telegraphic reports which make it possible to eliminate the ambiguity of the phase upon reception. This is achieved by transmitting with an n-position binary code obtained as a result of adding the preceding code transmission and the binary signal to be transmitted, according to the modulus 2n. A device consisting of a coding section on the transmitting end of the communication system and a decoding section on the receiving end is proposed for carrying out the method described for coding.
