DEVELOPMENT OF A TWO-CONDUCTOR SHIELDED CABLE CONNECTOR FOR USE IN MISSILE FIRING CIRCUITS

Abstract

An investigation was begun on parts and assembly techniques leading to and including the development of a two-conductor shielded cable connector suitable for use in missile firing circuits. Studies are being conducted to determine the feasibility and means of meeting Navy objectivesAND ALSO TO PREPARE A SUITABLE ELECTRICAL TESTING PROCEDURE WHICH WILL BE USED TO EVALUATE THE SHIELDING EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CONNECTOR TO BE DEVELOPED. The current areas of study and investigation dealt with the developmental objectives, the preliminary connector design concepts, and the evaluation of shielding effectiveness. (Author)
