STANDARD LABORATORY PROCEDURES. PART I. STABILITY, SENSITIVITY, PHYSICAL PROPERTIES, AND ANALYSES FOR HIGH EXPLOSIVES

Abstract

Descriptions are given for standard laboratory procedures for the investigation of explosives. They cover: (1) the determination of density; (2) percentage of grease in Al powders (3) composition of Composition B and cyclotol; (4) determination of wax in Composition B; (5) impact sensitivity tests; (6) vacuum thermal stability; (7) compressive strength; (8) melting point; (9) percent moisture; (10) shear strength; and (11) modulus of rupture.
