200-MILLIROENTGEN RADIACMETER RESEARCH

Abstract

Detailed instructions are given for manufacturing, processing, and testing the Bendixdeveloped 200-mr personnel dosimeter. Individual co ponents were redesigned for maximum compatibility, with the reliability of the final product as the ultimate goal. Many of the problems encountered during the construction phase of the project are reviewed along with their solutions. A mathematical analysis of light transmission through the dosimeter is included as an aid for further study and development of the present optical system. A detailed processing procedure is carefully delineated to insure that the meter can be mass produced. The processes used in the construction of this meter are the most advanced state of the art and were tried and proven in practice. (Author)
