EVALUATION OF ULTRAFINE METAL POWDERS FOR DISPERSION HARDENING PURPOSES

Abstract

Three Ni - Al2O3 alloys were fabricated using ultrafine Ni powder as the base material. One of the alloys containing 10 vol - % gamma Al2O3 exhibited better mechanical properties at room temperature and 1500 F than the best Ni - Al2O3ALLOYS FABRICATED FROM COARSER Ni powder, while the 1800 F values were lower.
