ORBIT DETERMINATION FROM SIMULTANEOUS RADIO DOPPLER-SHIFT MEASUREMENTS

Abstract

A method of computing th orbit of a satellite from radio Doppler shift measurements is described. It is assumed that radio signals originate at a transmitter on the ground, are reflected by a satellite and received at three receivers during the same pass of the satellite over the area in which the four stations are located. Examples of orbit computations are given. (Author)
