SUPPORT OF AERONAUTICAL SYSTEMS DIVISION TEST ON F-106 SUPERSONIC SOFT PACK PARACHUTE
Abstract
ERONAU ICAL Systems Division recently completed a test of the F-106 Supersonic S OFT Pack P ARACHUTE. This is a report of the observations of the ADC P R ICIPA T. Discrepancies were observed to exist in he raft eployment mechanism, the urviv l kit deployment mechanism, the raft packing method, an t e co patibility of the equipment with water landings. The soft pack parachute will be re esigned to eliminate discrepancies. It is recommended that ADC moni or a d support, as r quir d, further development and testing of the F-106 Supersonic Soft Pack Parachute. (Author)
