Klemens. 12 July 61 (Research rept. no. 929-8904-R2 h thermoelectric properties of solid r d t r ined by the func ional form of Sigma(E), the electrical conductivity of electrons of energy E. In order for the Se beck coefficient to be high, Sigma(E) must vary rapidly over a narrow e ergy range. Possible methods of realizi g t is condition are discussed. (Author)
